On March 7-8, 2011, NIRS held its Second Annual Retirement Policy Conference, “Policy at the Crossroads: Ensuring Economic Recovery Strengthens Retirement Security,” where retirement leaders examined a key question: Will a rising economic tide lift Americans’ retirement boats? Or will policymakers, plan sponsors, and service providers need to employee new strategies to restore America’s retirement readiness? During this solutions-focused conference, policymakers and thought leaders explored the most promising public policy approaches and private-sector initiatives to enhance retirement security.
